The Bone Bender MKII is a three germanium transistor based Sola/Vox Tone Bender Professional MKII clone and then some. Using select germanium transistors and use of traditional voicing really make you get down on that kill'n floor. Our transistors are hand picked to get you that magic tone of the original Sola/Vox Tone Bender Professional MKII.

The Bone Bender MKII gets those tones of yesteryear but with modern conveniences. Some of these include using a technique to stabilize the transistors from temperature changes that commonly plague stock/clone germanium Fuzz pedals. This technique does not compromise your tone whatsoever and only keeps its tone going during gigs that would leave common germanium fuzzes dead.

Another big difference between our pedal and the original (including clones) is ours allows you to use the standard 9VDC AC adaptors (positive tip) that are out there without nasty ‘motor-boating’ or EMI/RFI that one can get by modding the original circuit to use AC adaptors. This allows you to use common power boxes. The originals do not have AC adaptor jacks, most clones do not. These improvements and its traditional voicing, sets Bone Bender MKII way ahead of the pack.

As with all Baja Tech Custom pedals the Bone Bender MKII is wired for true bypass so as to not “suck” your tone when off.

Bone Bender MKII is painted with a heavy duty powder coat finish to withstand the day to day rigors of the road.

We still sell the old version without LED/AC jack upgrades for the full old school vibe. Make a note when ordering that you would like the "old school" Bone Bender MKII.
